thanks Phill,
Just to let you know that ive been flying up and down the 1200 mtr runway about 1 ft above the runway .
Just doing a prop tention and final checks , plan to fly tomorrow .
I must admit that listening to the jab nay sayers has delayed my return to the air . Its just took some time to get my confidence back .
The plane is working well and feels good in the tail department .
Ill let you know how the flight goes tomorrow .
Cheers mike .
Ive had a haircut!
Hi George , what kind of camera are you using , ?
If its digital or smart phone camera ect all you do is click or touch the " upload a file " ,box at the bottom right , and follow the prompts .
Mike
S
it wasn't a jabiru engine after all !?
This makes me laugh , if it wasnt so serious ,
Your saying it-took over a week to let us know it wasn't a jab engine?
This is the one from archer field is it ?
The prototype had long thin full length tanks , but had issues with fuel leaking out the vents on uneven ground.
The later jab wings are about 1500 mm long from the wing root and sit behind the main spar .
Also having fuel lines front and rear draining into the sump means that all the fuel drains out of the wings .
The fuel left in jab wings is minimal , may be 200 ml ?
Mike
Seems that people have to die before casa feels its necessary to step in . And maybe commercial in-confidence talks have already been put in place between jab and cam .
After all , all we will ever find out on a forum is folks opinions and thoughts .
Went to an auction of confiscated items from airport customs , bought a pair of shoes confiscated from a drug dealer .
I don't know what he laced them with but I've been trippen all day !
Monitoring use is the way i do it also ,
I don't see how the shape of tank matters if you weigh it .
But the word" carn't " is a swear word
around here .
Don't jets weigh the fuel & monitor fuel flow as well ?
Mike.
Doesn't reading an accurate "weights and measures" calibrated system ( if it were available ) trump a system that still needs human input every time you add fuel ?
Most pilots that I've seen with fuel flow meters just read the fuel flow figure and don't bother doing the program bits either not knowing or trusting the system .
Also don't large jets and the like weigh their fuel ?
