  1. Congrats , it does take a lot of careful work to get them right , getting the majic 20 c cooler over a standard installation has got to be good for the longevity of the engine !
  2. Makes me wonder how many many pefectly good Odyessys have been chucked out due to time maint. Ive always understood that you should change them at 2/4 years ? Should offer to buy all the ckucked ones !! Lets say %10 of p/p after 2 years . Lol Mike

We have thought about utilising the unused hot water , but even if the waters boiling hot , its still not hot enough , and the capacities not there , So , not hot enough , for any worthwhile electric generation , Pity though , I thought ,as Phill, that having that " spare" capacity , could be used , especially in summer , But the "numbers " dont stack up ! I like the idea of pumping water to a head , and , IF , you had the height and dam capacity , well , got me thinking ! Mike

  9. I carnt wate for someone else to have a fly of the Avocet , Ive had the title of being the only one in the history of the world to have flown her ! Ill wate for a second opinion befor a detailed spec and flight performance announcement . Im happy with the way it flys , no bad habits. Mike.
  10. You could refuel at port Pirie , no ASIC and CHEAPER fuel , avgas , credid card bowser . 20 min . from Y PAG . Get caught at y pag without asic could be expensive , security bloke , well ..... Say no more ! Get caught with someone else's card , .... You might be a terooist !!!! Lol Mike

  12. In reality , pilots should be mentay prepaired for engin failure every take off and landing . Ive had 3 instances where a below safe height incident has required imediate action . , and believe me faaar.. Is the last thing on your mind !
  13. Bex's post , is how ive cooled the Avocet , The black holes send cold air to exhaust pipes and is vented before going through the radiator .

Fly Away No MoreTo Pay : Seems to me that this has resulted in a generation of Pilots , but not nessesarly Aviators , Quick walk around , jump in turn key , Al this leads to more regulation , this slow, down hill decline in freedoms , How far down the hill do we have to go before we're regulated out of the sky altogether ?
