    The standard Hummel bird tank Can hold 25 litres, but is only supposed to take US 5 gallons. ( 20 litres ) . The " overfill " is for long taxi & wait times , before take-off. But !, " all take-offs are overweight ". So it is said. spacesailor

    O K . How did you find all that about your ancestry. ? I tried the big ' ancestry ' sites and it couldn't even find my father or grandfather. My wife went all the way to Dublin, Ireland, where the Head records office couldn't find her grandfather s records , ( kept getting the father as the grandfather). Had pay for each page of " misinformation " , after repeated pages with the same name & DOD , ( dads ) gave up & left . spacesailor

    Which means ' the lighter that prop ' , the less flywheel effect for the motor . I tried the single blade prop , by cutting one blade off the two blade model engines prop!. And it ran like sheet . LoL Yes I tried glueing a weight onto the stub , but it threw the weight through the ceiling. Mummy 's not happy Jan LoL Dynamic balance needs two blades methinks, & I never got to fly that model after the motor shook the stringers off the formers .     I probably have not made it clear enough. I did Not run a RED Or AMBER light!. I Was stopped on the Green light. ( heavy traffic & no were to go ahead ). As I started to cross ' slowly ' ( giving time for traffic to clear ahead ) . That light, THEN turned AMBER. As I had only just got the AMBER, I expected to clear the intersection before the Red ) . As I reached the far side of the road ( front wheels over the other side line ). I was busted for 0.05 of a second ! ,( rear end Not over the line ) . So now it's " floor it ", if late !. Or " slam on the brakes " & to hell with the people behind ,( who think They could make it ) . 90% speedo watching, is Not a good driving habit!. spacesailoe

    You mean " metres per second per second " . And , ddi we forget the three & four blade composite prop has more momentum than a single blade prop. Who's engine needs a Bigger flywheel !. Just a small point from a ' prop chopper ' who's engine has No flywheel. spacesailor

    SO spacesailor , will reply ! . In a nice world , a constable could or should have the discretion to issue a warning. Hopefully I am right . But from my standpoint ' at the receiving end ' of any infringement! , 0.05 seconds sounds like a Very small infringement BUT As I am unable to engage a ' Barrister or two ' it makes the Law & the constabulary. Not my Law but the Law for the Elites of society. I am Not alone in this perception of how Austraia's Law has progressed since the ' Rum Rebellion ' . Like people have said , $ 500 from a PPPENSION is a big hit , that doesn't affect the wealthy end of town . GST doesn't affect someone who can write off food , on a ' entertainment taxbreak ' , the rich 1% pay less tax , than the poorer 90% . And I feel Victimised. And on my way to the " Arthur Butler Memorial " fly in , I have to run the gauntlet of ' filling copper's pockets . " Such is life " . spacesailor PS.     Most 4X4 driver's are advised to, ' pull the ABS fuse ' Before offroading . As one who couldn't find said fuse " it's bloody awful being thrown side to side each time that ABS detects one wheel revolving more than the other Three. " . ( in sand ruts ). spacesailor

    Not only , US cost. Carrier's cost, then , G S T When landed. Also Damage in transit. Lose or theft . I gave up trading from the U S as a couple of items were never received. Also a air hand-held txrx from England , just disappeared. I felt very guilty for a long time after . spacesailor

I had the surprise of my life , when NRMA told me , '' they only use old secondhand parts on all vehicles that were older than 24 months old '' . Straight from then wreckers ! and that was for a top quality well maintained vehicle . spacesailor

    I found a problem with our current driver training & testing programs . Far too much emphasis on bureaucracy, but only a little on the learner's " physical skills " . Should a motorcycle rider get a test pass after he's fallen off the bike twice .( on his test ) He got 100 % in his written , so he passed. Useless at ' clutch, gear change .& putting foot out before he fell too far to correct that mistake. spacesailor

    In the UK .Babies could not be insured before they had their 1st birthday. ( 1960 ) We had to take out an endowment policy, for that twelve month, then it converted to a Iifepolicy, ( Prudential insurance) . Which means the Insurance got a free premium . As we had to pay our monthly shilling . spacesailor

    A lot of 4X4 drivers get caught out, when 'sand driving ' . You may achieve 10 litres per 100 kilometres !. Normally. But , on sand you may double that to 20 litres per 100 kilometres. And then your car stops in half the time it , or distance . Leaving a long walk to the servo . spacesailor

    I'm old. Er. . I can' t tell a couple metres from a couple of yards. Tyre sizes are still US inch , but US engine size is cubic inch . US pints or quarts are not the same as UK pints/gallons. The different countries measurements are not the problem as the older generation passes and the new , have never used a different countries system. Will have a system they Know . To the metric system, pushers the address is " System International Paris France " . To me it's the same as King Charles , is our king . And , ! my Newest GreatGrandSon will never understand the rein of Queen Elisabeth . Born yesterday morning . spacesailor
