    Don hypothetically, if the Jab engine was replaced by a Rotax as you describe above, my Aircraft could still be operated in the 24 Category and problem solved if the proposal came into being??

    Just read all this and am a bit confused. I bought my new Factory built Jab in March this year. Am I correct in saying that if this Draft Proposal goes through, I cannot take a non pilot passenger with me on any flight?, or is the Propsal only for Amateur built Aircraft. Mine is RA- Aus registered. Appreciate clarification. I operate from Bankstown in Sydney.

    Mate i started flying the J170 recently after many years of GA flying in Cessnas and Warriors and yes it is different but very satisfying. The Landing does take some getting used to, and you will find it does float, but ive found if you can nail the speed as per the book, and get the Control inputs right, it will fly itself!     I just upgraded to ios8 on my iPad and wish I hadn't. I used to be able to double click to delete icons running in the background but can't seem to do that anymore. Also the home screen looks different and cheap. I think I will leave my iPhone 4 where it is and can't understand why the iOS 8 upgrade made it all look so different!

    Hi all, the problem I was having on transmit was due to poor crimping at antenna connection to radio plus low battery voltage at start up. No probs since both these issues addressed.

    I use the David Clark DCProX which i purchased in the USA for $637. Very light and excellent performance with the usual David Clark support and Warranty. No compaints.

    Peter not engine issue just a shudder as described. Agree tyre imbalance most probably the cause and will apply brake next tkof as suggested by everyone. Thanks for input
