  1. I just upgraded to ios8 on my iPad and wish I hadn't. I used to be able to double click to delete icons running in the background but can't seem to do that anymore. Also the home screen looks different and cheap. I think I will leave my iPhone 4 where it is and can't understand why the iOS 8 upgrade made it all look so different!

I purchased my J-170 new in March this year andhave had excellent Customer service from Jabiru
  3. Hi all, the problem I was having on transmit was due to poor crimping at antenna connection to radio plus low battery voltage at start up. No probs since both these issues addressed.
  4. Thanks Bruce. Yes gentle application of brakes fixes it
  5. Agree. that's why I have the best David Clark ANR Headset on the market.
  6. I use the David Clark DCProX which i purchased in the USA for $637. Very light and excellent performance with the usual David Clark support and Warranty. No compaints.
  7. Peter not engine issue just a shudder as described. Agree tyre imbalance most probably the cause and will apply brake next tkof as suggested by everyone. Thanks for input
  8. Hi all, can anyone explain this brief shudder at about 150ft on tkof which dissipates quickly? Could it be out of balance tyres ? Appreciate comments thanks Guys
  9. Peter just to clarify, is this a shudder type issue at about 150ft on takeoff?

  14. Thanks Col, yes I see that Aircraft Spruce in the USA sell an Antenna that is designed to be mounted in the fuselage which negates the need to drill holes etc, which could be connected to Com 2. Still thinking about the second Com situation and I do have a spare space next to the existing Com.
  15. And only seen them on Aircraft parked outside for long periods of inactivity
  16. Ive seen them on Cessnas. Two pieces of wood like material attached to either side of the Rudder interconnected and screwed tight to prevent the Rudder from moving in strong wind. Just dont forget to remove during pre flight!!!
  17. Thanks Phil, I have one fitted and wondering whether to have another as a backup. Maybe should have had 2 from the outset (factory build). Did the Handheld have enough power to transmit properly?and could you hear transmissions above the engine noise?
