I've always thought it was a bit dodgy.

I was staying at a Resort at Mission Beach with my parents when a Seabee (I assume KNA operated by M.I. Hawkins) landed in the ocean (sustaining minor damage due to rough conditions) and taxied up the beach, and down the road to the Wongaling Beach Resort where it parked in the carpark. This would have been the late 70s or early 80s.

Overnight at Lakeside Airpark March 2016
winsor68 replied to Blueadventures's topic in Trips/Events/Seats
Is that Lakeside??? WOW!!! It has had some improvements made and grown over the last few years by the looks of it. Is Doug Belbin still living at the other end of the strip? -
Has anyone built one of these yet {lol}

It is one big wing. It would have to have a very low wing loading. -
I stated (accurately) that there is NO LAW BANNING WOMEN FROM DRIVING IN SAUDI ARABIA. Batman then asked "Really" and stated they most certainly were banned. That is not the case. Just stick with the facts and stop being extremists.
-
That is how batshit irrational people spread batshit irrational bxxxshit. Good work. THERE IS NO LAW FORBIDDING WOMEN TO DRIVE IN SAUDI ARABIA. The fact that you managed to visit the place and still have no idea is very informative.

It's all just a plane trip away...and in terms of communication no different.

winsor68 replied to winsor68's topic in Aircraft General Discussion
Did you see the suspension on it? -
Anyone understand Russian? I wonder what you would call this? It is more of a Bumdragger than a Taildragger...

Why do Boeing planes start and end with the number 7?
winsor68 replied to Robbo's topic in AUS/NZ General Discussion
Remember MAZDA used to use a three number system... i.e. Mazda 323, 929, 626, 121 etc etc These days they use a single number i.e. Mazda 3, Mazda 6 etc etc I wonder if Boeing will go the same way in time? -

My US mate Christy flying her 2 axis WEEDHOPPER
winsor68 posted a topic in AUS/NZ General Discussion
Bloody awesome clip I reckon... I love these simple machines. Christy and her boyfriend Chris whom I know only through Facebook seem to have a life of constant aviation adventure....they both own Weedhoppers. -
That is a real shame. It was an honour to meet Chris at Natfly a few years ago. A true gentlemen and a real character.

Yeah....Thanks BP... Oil spills last forever and after the devastation caused by the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, we can’t let BP drill for oil in the Great Australian Bight – right in the middle of one of the most significant whale nurseries in the world. https://www.wilderness.org.au/stop-bp-now-and-forever?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=CashAsk&utm_campaign=Facebook-GAB-Turtle-Appeal&%3Futm_source=Facebook
