Why waste payload carrying anything besides wing?

My Dad was my flying hero... He instructed for many years but sadly never managed to send his kids solo as the club folded in the mid 80s when Mount Isa lost it's heart and soul... The last time I flew as PIC was also the last time Dad flew...after that as much as I would love to continue flying if I could afford my own aircraft and thus fly on my own terms...it wasn't so hard to walk away...sort of felt like "mission accomplished"... Dad filmed our last flight together...

I am not surprised they can't compete. I am amazed that the radios we use today...although full of amazing digital electronics...are essentially unchanged from the radios we used 25 years ago... Check out the Horus... Horus X12S-products

I was thinking if the Taifun is a Me109 with a different seating configuration...according to the photos below that would make the Me109 considerably smaller than the Spitfire and especially the Mustang. -

Was the Messerschmidt a much smaller aircraft than their allied counterparts? -
The majority of Ra-Aus pilots are around that age. I believe this is because this is the market Ra-Aus has spent it's efforts (and your money) on nurturing. It didn't happen by accident. Look at the number of young people you have taken flying and loved it. If recreational flying was accessible...they would come.

I'm loving these photos. So sad to see what was compared to what is now... -
I wonder how a V-tail would behave with one engine out?

I am sure these videos were posted and discussed on this site many years ago...the general consensus being that an accident was just waiting to happen...

I don't think there was a near miss.

That is all well and good for experienced aviators...people who come from an aviation background and may know what to look for...people with peers who can look out for them... But what about the bloke who has never seen an aircraft up close and personal except in magazines and when flying commercially looking to take up flying? These are the people the rules need to be protecting. And they aren't in my opinion.
