Hi Tom, I like the idea of a glove box. Is that the deepest glovebox possible or are you allowing some breathing space behind it to keep the instruments cool on either side?
In readiness for my build, I have been reviewing some of the Savannah build threads in Recreational Flying.
Much to Mark Kyle's credit -and all the fantastic contributors to this thread,
this thread has been viewed 104,278 times!
Wow!!
I believe it is! And, for that reason, I am building an "ultralight" Savannah.
Here in New Zealand, up-to-600-kg aircraft are known as "microlights" and that is what my Savannah will be registered as when it is complete.
Nice balance between the darker blue and the white wings. The light coloured wings should save them (and the fuel inside it) from overheating in the summer sun.
When I view your picture ("Underneath the baggage compartment, looking backwards"), I seem to see a light at the end of the tunnel.
I hope you can too!
I hit a kangaroo last December and it is not fun.
I like the idea of air horns that Mark and you have fitted to your aircraft. But I wonder how you could warn people on a beach with shuroos? ...the frequency is above the human audible range.
