Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I proudly fly he first Brumby high wing ever made. As a board member of Australian made Australian grown, I just had to have a great Australian built aircraft. I want to let the aviation community that I'm in the process of seeking pre selection for the Federal seat of Mallee. Check out my website www.andrewbroad.com

I've been using my Brumby to get around the electorate, so even if I lose I'm having a lot of fun flying!

All the best Andrew!

Not if you're honest simplicity at its best

Unfortunately the lapdog media love to shred honest people in particular - it's so foreign to them it just seems weird I guess. The same meeja people can't understand why most of us common folk don't just luuuurv their boss lady, what's er name.

Onya Andrew! Agriculture will only survive if your generation makes time to fight the anti-agriculture, and anti-science, myopia which is afflicting the pollies in Canberra....and in every other state too, for that matter. Always happy to help.

happy days,

insane.gif.b56be3c4390e84bce5e5e6bf4f69a458.gif < I was thinking more of this one Marty, the unelected PM. Many of them appear to be there to take dictation for her.

But I wish there was more honesty and frankness on all sides irrespective of what one stands for. Back to thread topic, I hope Andrew succeeds. Agriculture is extremely important to this country even more so as mining slows.

I note that John Anderson gave you a tick - isn't he the same John Anderson that flogged off Hoxton Park Airport leading to its closure and conversion to warehousing?

The same meeja people can't understand why most of us common folk don't just luuuurv their boss lady, what's er name.

I recently sent 4 or 500 emails out to Parlimentarians and Senators (yes we really have that many) explaining what China, you know, Australia's biggest source of income, thinks of Gillard (factually and politely) and what she should do about it - not one single reply.

All I can say is she is either culturally niave, ignorant or doing it intentionally but it is hurting Oz whatever the reason and quite a number of billions have been invested elsewhere recently that were considered to go to Oz and quite worryingly, trends amongst businessmen are big here.

As I've been travelling around, one of the big issues in the electorate is good runways with good lighting for air ambulance to land. The ageing rural population know that if something happens, fast airservices is essential. Stopping the closing and upgrades of air strips in country towns... Now that is a fight we can all agree is worth having! Web site is www.andrewbroad.com

You must confusing Australia with a republic. We don't vote for a leader, we vote for a party. The tricky somewhat dishonest media trick you into believing that you are voting for person. And it seems to be working because you are angry about the leader you didn't vote for loosing your vote and the one you did not being able to pull it off. Tony Abbot is still the best weapon the ALP has at the moment.

She has taken her share of dictation on the way through the union ranks to get where she has arrived at too!

While Australia keeps drowning catering for a way over the top Social Security system, poor criminal prevention policies, Immigration issues, etc, etc, and words that don't express my opinion about Local, State and National Governements treatment of small business, then there will be no money to support local hospital and emergency medical services helping nullify the need for air ambulance services in the first instance. Fix Australia and you get your runway lights as a subsequence.

Again a subsequence, it comes from the top, it's the wealth of the country as a whole that makes this happen and I would like to see you mention policies directed there rather than throwing around "free propellers for anyone who votes for me" in an airplane forum.

BTW, could you please declare if "Australia Made" and "Australia Grown" are commercial profit making companies and by being on the Board of both do you have a vested interest to promote them or not thanks?

"Australian made Australian grown" is a not for profit company, all directors are volunteers , we have nearly 2000 Australian business's that contribute money to pay for advertising to encourage Australians to look for Australian products. Business's that display the logo but don't comply with the guidelines are liable to prosecution. It's been going now for over 25 years. Runs on a shoe string with no Government money, but does a great job.

Actually our Social Security system is one of the best in the world. Serious crime has been falling steadily, and as for Immigration issues, they are truly miniscule compared to most other countries. As for hospital services, I know more about public hospitals than I ever thought I would recently, because my 5 month old daughter was born with Hirschsprung's disease which has required 4 operations since birth, and my wife's MS has recently flared up requiring several visits to the ER in the last few weeks. Our experience? Brilliant. Dedicated doctors and nurses, and world class specialists. Yes, that's only our experience and some people have very different ones, but we are just truly grateful to the wonderful people staffing the Royal Hobart Hospital.

In terms of living standards, incomes, medicine, safety nets, even the number of soldiers killed in modern war, today's people in general are - for the most part - the most comfortable, healthy, free and educated that humanity has ever been. If you listen to the doom-and-gloom media or the hysterical hyperbole of most politicians (mainly but not entirely from the opposition) you'd think the world was going to end. All I know is that we live in a country and age where anyone with a moderately good income can aspire to own their own aircraft, and that our beautiful daughter is alive, when if she were born 50 years earlier she wouldn't be.

"Always look on the bright side of life"... that's my rant for today!

Many people say that our Prime Minister lied when she said "there will be no carbon tax under a government I lead". This is an unfair assertion because she did this under a measure of duress from Bob Brown and the Green Party who were the real "leaders". Hence, as it is not truly a government she leads (in the matter of the carbon tax) it is not fair to call her Ju-liar and other such disparaging names.

Is that link broken for everybody or just for me?

It worked for me last week when it was quoted in post #12. Now, it has become a dead link. I wonder what happened?

Perhaps, it's a cyber attack from North Korea? 077_smash_pc.gif.f5903d27a57d2bd4c7b9e20e21a3465c.gif
