  1. Would love to see what they are doing with the airspace. I have read about approaches but wonder if we will have vfr lanes or what happens to camden.
  2. If you need to either forward your bigpond email to gmail or get gmail to check your bigpond email.
  3. Also, there can be cloud which makes it difficult.
  4. In Avplan I use abeam so you can still see the airfield but not need to go directly over. Radio calls and keeping an eye or 2 out is still a good idea.
  5. I wonder what’s happening in Mudgee? They extended the taxiway, added services then nothing. Maybe a change in council.
  6. Well, out of Wedderburn. to the south or east is tiger country, to go west of Sydney is tiger country and we live in a 3D world where that extra dimension adds a lot more complexity and extra decision making compared to a car which is basically 2 dimensions.
  7. Make sure your software is up-to-date on the skyecho as well. https://uavionix.com/articles/skyecho-wi-fi-firmware-v2-38-update-latest-release/ https://uavionix.com/support/skyecho/update-skyecho-2-transceiver-software/ Though I doubt that is the issue.
  8. So you joined the wifi of the skyecho on the iPad?
  9. I have a monocular with me but honestly I've never used it. Seemed like a good idea. Much less fiddly and smaller than binoculars. I think I got it from Aus Geographic.
  10. I use X-Plane with HTC-Vive. Works well but it helps to have a more powerful PC to reduce stutters and make you sick.

    Xplane 11.55

I forgot to post the link. You can download for free but that will take forever. Pay a fee and you can download much faster. As I said it looks weird up close but up high it looks impressive. https://flyawaysimulation.com/news/4956/#australia

    Xplane 11.55

Nice one, I've been using X-Plane since the early days and was given a VR headset so HAD to buy a PC to suit was using it on a Mac. During quarantine was flying around Australia. I should send some links to get the landscape more realistic. Can't at the moment.
  13. ASIC = "I'm a nice person verified"
  14. I like RC flying that looks scale even though that plane doesn't look real.
  15. That seems like a better concept than a multirotor drone. No exposed blades as well. I wonder if it uses less power.
  16. I think straight in approaches to an airshow or high traffic is not a good idea in general. Also, he relied on unicom for traffic and they could've been wrong. Anyway, the plane on base had the right of way so add that all up, doing a normal circuit pattern should have been the preferred option.
  17. I had one where I didn't hear anything from other 2 other aircraft till I was surprised to see them in the circuit and only when I called them did they respond.
  18. Funny you mention "Pen Tested" because I've never been asked airside unless a couple of airports trying to get out the gate and you need to call a number. They only asked for the card number.
  19. I like when the flying looks scale. impressive models.
