The XPB Stage 1 underway.

And we'll need a HS and spars too .. I won't draw the skins up until I laser and fold the spars, and assemble with the ribs to get accurate measurements. -

For the rudder ribs (not spars)? Yes. Where possible it is only one thickness throughout the entire plane Or did you mean other? 0.5mm might be a bit light for the wing spars, but I'm happy for you to try it. -

Tsunamis ... Although often referred to as tidal waves, a tsunami is not a usual wave which is only much bigger. People unaware of the danger may remain at the shore for collecting fish from the exposed seabed oblivious to the looming endlessly onrushing tide that forces its way through any obstacle. Most of the damage is caused by the huge mass of water behind the initial wave front as the sheer weight of water is enough to pulverize objects in its path, often reducing buildings to their foundations.

The complete rear fuse, now a few days more to translate it all into 2D CNC files (.dwg or .dfx doesn't matter) and start cutting some sheets later in the week ... -
Just if you need Marty, not saying you do, but info for others as well, run the cables through fixed small diameter copper tube where rubbing might be an issue.

I have.. A wing root doubler plate failed, simply wasn't thick enough and hence buckled/failed after hitting a big bump.

I'll take 2! .. 2 seconds to decide, nah, pass! ...only if anyone actually buys them at the price! -
I updated my post, look above /\

Did you know there's one rotting in a public park in Thailand? In fact isn't it in your city of Chiang Mai? Here it is, you're welcome... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peterson_260SE

Well that's amazing, wonder how much one is? It can even test Cat Food! https://alloytester.com/tin-whiskers -
Milestone Mate, you need 'em to keep inspiration up. Congrats.

Yay, sheets just arrived. ..and of course first thing is to cut a strip and send it of for testing to confirm what it really is. I did some very simple tests though, yeild, curvature and spring back against previously tested and confirmed 6061T6, and good news that those were identical, but I'll let the Lab decide that. -

Yes, should be back to standard size sheets later, that's why I'm not renesting just for this batch. Transport company didn't ring me today, hope tomorrow now. -

As Big Kev says "I'm Excited!" .. Aluminium arrives tomorrow, like a Kid at Xmas, Yay! Sadly they only had 1250 x 2500 sheets, I usually lay everything out on standard 1220 x 2440 sheets, so I will have to suffer a little waste as I'm not going to renest everything again. You would be surprised what a difference 60mm longer and 30mm wider makes to nesting, spreading parts over 30 or so sheets. That also goes for the actual design, you can't make a part that won't fit onto a sheet, or cut up into at least the minimal part sub lots. But Sketchup will save me, Long Live Sketchy, Sketchy for King!! -
Virgin Australia and Tigerair to cut routes
bexrbetter replied to red750's topic in AUS/NZ General Discussion
Why can't you fly to Brissy? I've never flown Virgin other then one connecting flight recently, Bris to Melb, they always are too expensive, for my routes anyway. Air Asia is the only airline I will never fly again, Chinese Bogans are far worse than Oz Bogans. -
Fair 'nuff, I'm not aware of every model plane out there, but other have ratio. Anyway, you ruined my attemp to put fear into Marty!

"Why Planes Crash" By David Soucie

I have this E-Book, if anyone wants to sample the legal 15%*, let me know. *15% might vary according to 'Mates Rates' ... -
Very easy actually. a supported person, using leg mutiplied by the leverage ratio of the pedal. So an average person, 70 kgs, can push 2 x body weight easy, (a fit person 3 to 4 x), lets say 6:1 pedal ratio, 140kgs x 6 = 840kgs!

Good idea, now that I'm getting back into the swing of things.

What material is the fin post made of, and how old is the plane please Mark? Just memory bank info, materials/time = corrosion ..

I don't seem to be able to upload a picture in a PM message? There is a URL link option.
