  3. They wouldnt allow this in Aust & IF they did think of all the carrying capacity you lose after fitting airbags, turn indicators, brake lights, stereo system for the doof doof music, spare wheel. Oops no weight left for the Pilot, This is crazy talk you dreamers LOL
  4. Hey you guys have gone of Track here, WHERE the hell is PHIL , maybe we need to develop a Find a Phil app like the Pokemon one LoL
  5. I remember doing unusual attitude recoveries under the hood during the required 3 hours of instrument flying for the RPPL back in 85, If you end up in IFR trust the Instruments cos your head will screw you up big time. Did the type conversion to the Victa Airtourer which is fully aerobatic so Spin recovery from 2 full turns was required, loved every minute of it. cheers
  6. Welcome Gio, lots of experienced flyers here m8, sure you will get what you need. Cheers
  7. welcome to the forums m8, enjoy
  8. Did my RPL back in 1985 over a 11 month period. Solo in 9 hours, licence test at 41 hours, usually averaged 1 lesson per week.
  9. Cheers Ian. Sites like these will never be totally hassle free with so many differing opinions on subjects most are very passionate about and the odd 1 or 2 causing issues. The Mods here have a good grip on things which makes it a great site to be a member of. Keep up the great work. Cheers Marty
  10. Cheers Phil was great to meet you m8, Didnt think to ask at the time but hope your flight went well. Hot bumpy day in the circuit today. No doubt see you out there again. cheers
  11. Welcome Timothy. cheers
  12. Yeh Phil Dave is very patient, One flight doing steep turns I wasn,t as precise holding altitude as Dave or myself wanted me to be and as he calmly told me more back pressure a few times I turned to him and said I,m old school Dave feel free to yell at me now and then, it might help lol. He still wouldn't do it though. Great Instructor. Cheers
  13. Great job, man lands better on planes belly than I can on wheels lol
  14. Glad he is OK, Hope the Corsair is reparable, Awesome fighter.
  15. Very sad news, condolences to their family's & friends.
  16. Welcome aboard Fran's, cheers
  17. Chris congrats on your Solo, it's an awesome feeling. On the restart issue which in your case may of been a too low idle issue but it could of been any number of other issues that really could of ruined your day. Could of been failing fuel pump which could of failed at 200 ft. If something is not as it should be while wheels are on the ground that's the best place to be to sort it out. All part of the learning curve. Cheers and enjoy the rest of your flying.
  18. Phil you are in good hands with Dave, I,m currently doing the RA conversion with Dave at Airsport after a (OMG)28 year break from GA. My attempts to fly the Tecnam Golf like a 172 didn't seem to bother him too much LoL. He knows his stuff so go enjoy m8.
  19. Most of the kit prices I,ve seen are between $40000-$60000 airframe only so quite a saving but the time factor difference is big. cheers
  20. Welcome aboard guys
  21. Or maybe a Drone and speaker system with Audio loop of our Politicians during a session of Parliament, NO ONE would stay around to listen to that LOL
  22. Hey Marty-d, Any idea what the cost difference is between building from scratch as you have and purchasing the complete kit tto assemble?. cheers
