  1. Job well done Ian, appreciate your efforts
  2. Ian this is a fantastic site and I have read many good post with some very good advice but m8 what you have posted here tonight is one of the most selfless acts done for the benefit of others, Depression is such a misunderstood illness suffered by many, Your admissions of what you have experenced have given me and I,m sure others a better understanding of what others are trying to deal with. Thanks for sharing and I wish you all the best. Cheers
  3. Condolences to his family & friends. RIP m8
  4. Welcome PDiddy, Currently converting from GA to Ra-Aus With Dave at Airsports Qld & Boonah, Dave knows his stuff and that Golf is fun to fly. cheers
  5. Welcome Peter, Are you going to be flying again, I,m back into it myself at 58 after a 28 year break. Cheers
  6. Fully agree with Yenn, Wouldn,t think twice about driving a car with a cold or feeling off but Flying adds that extra elements that makes the difference, Height and the extra workload of flying aircraft. Height comes with increased atmospheric pressure which can increase the normal effects of a cold or other ailments, Add the constant need for full concentration needed when flying its too easy to forget even something you would normally not forget. If your not fully on your game better to stay home & fly another day. Kudos again PM sharing these things could be the wakeup call others need . Cheers
  7. Glad they made it ok, planes a bit ordinary but walk away no injuries is always a good result.
  8. Oh dear must of let his OzRunways subscription lapse lol
  9. After seeing what these reckless fools did with tourists in an Aircraft I wouldnt expect them to be any less reckless in a boat. Delibrately unbuckling a seat belt then pushing enough negative Gs to unseat the girl is just plain reckless stupidity. Pulled thier AOC?, should have their licences pulled as well.
  10. OK Phil's back, now everyone calm the hell down, Welcome back Phil, You have been missed
  11. Still lookin for Phil? You all sit back n chill If Phil is around This dude will hunt him down My little suit wearing man Will have Phil in a jam
  12. Gday Aubrey, welcome aboard. cheers
  13. They wouldnt allow this in Aust & IF they did think of all the carrying capacity you lose after fitting airbags, turn indicators, brake lights, stereo system for the doof doof music, spare wheel. Oops no weight left for the Pilot, This is crazy talk you dreamers LOL
  14. Hey you guys have gone of Track here, WHERE the hell is PHIL , maybe we need to develop a Find a Phil app like the Pokemon one LoL
  15. I remember doing unusual attitude recoveries under the hood during the required 3 hours of instrument flying for the RPPL back in 85, If you end up in IFR trust the Instruments cos your head will screw you up big time. Did the type conversion to the Victa Airtourer which is fully aerobatic so Spin recovery from 2 full turns was required, loved every minute of it. cheers
  16. Welcome Gio, lots of experienced flyers here m8, sure you will get what you need. Cheers
