  1. Don't you mean 100mm x 50mm ? Kiwi
  2. I am at the bottom of the list. To quote one Board Member "This is the S**t stirrer from Boonah" (I know you were only joking Mike) Ian "Groogy" McGregor wont accept money for BFR"s as it is. And all I do for him is mow some of the common areas for him. So yes let them go first.
  3. We have club members that have been grounded for two months. They fully support the priority given to the flying schools. The flying schools didn't cause this. The incompetent Executive and CEO caused this. So your opinion is that your hobby is more important than your friends jobs? Kiwi.
  4. You might not like your local flying school and want them to fail, but I and every pilot I know are more than happy for the Flying Schools to have priority in getting there rego's done. My aircraft rego expired yesterday, and if It has to stay ground a bit longer to help keep people employed and receiving a income so be it. Kiwi.
  5. So when your BFR is due and you can't find a instructor cause he went broke, are you going to winge about having a registered aircraft and not allowed to fly it? After all it's not your fault he went broke!

The Flying Tigers will be sending three representatives and as many proxies that we can gather to the Special General Meeting in February (myself and two others) Kiwi
  7. You're not about to buy a Jabiru are you? Kiwi.
  8. I think you need to read the following threads. http://www.recreationalflying.com/threads/raaus-fails-casa-audit-again.50744/page-57 Post 1126 http://www.recreationalflying.com/threads/are-you-still-grounded.53138/ post #9, #14 http://www.recreationalflying.com/threads/how-do-you-get-ra-aus-board-members-to-respond.52981/page-4 The office lied to you. This is a "quote" from a current board member (even he is kept in the dark.) "I have some more information. Apparently the office stopped sending out renewals when our authority was removed. That means there is a large backlog, and a real risk for those who don't check their expiry date of flying illegally." (From http://www.recreationalflying.com/threads/raaus-fails-casa-audit-again.50744/page-57 post 1126) Kiwi. Idiot.
  9. My New Zealand passport expired back in 99, so I might have a problem or two. Kiwi ps. Canberra is part of Australia isn't it?
  10. Brian and I will be going to Canberra for the February General Meeting, Is that payment enough? Kiwi.
  11. I hope you mean the aircrafts "Tool box" Kiwi
  12. Mine is from a Certified Drifter, but here are the links for the others. For 95-10 http://www.raa.asn.au/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Section-7.1.4-Annex-C-Warning-Notice.pdf For "19's" and MTOW for all other aircraft. http://www.raa.asn.au/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Section-7.4.3-Annex-C-Warning-Notices.pdf Kiwi.
  13. I was just re-reading the RAAus web site thinking the same thing. Kiwi.
  14. I don't sit in the back often. You would have read it more than I have. Kiwi. ps. How's the Bushcaddie going?
  15. Hi John. This sticker is on the back of the pilots seat in on my certified Drifter, in clear view of any passenger. Is it what they are after for MTOW ? Kiwi. Ps The sticker is 22 years old !
  16. One of the most accurate posts I have seen in a long time (by cficare) has just been removed by the moderator (I bet he/she didn't want to). Just wanted to let you know that I "liked" it. Kiwi.
  17. Let me see, RAAus Freemasons: The current CEO, President or should I say Ex-President, Secretary, Treasurer, The other two NSW board members And maybe a couple of other board members. My source wont tell me anything after my last "Oop's" moment. Kiwi.
  18. Do nothing to the paddock, just get one of these. Kiwi.
  19. The main problem is that as soon as the crash happened the aircraft belongs to the insurance company, and with out their permission no one can touch the aircraft. As no one was seriously hurt (I'm still amazed), the police and ATSB wont get involved. It will probably cost $2,000 plus for them to remove the aircraft, and they will be lucky to recover anything from the sale of the wreck. Once the Insurance company have inspected the aircraft some of the club members plan to approach them to remove the aircraft at no cost to them (the Insurance Company) so we can inspect the aircraft and try to find out why it stopped. Kiwi
  20. Glad that you are both ok. I was at the crash site on Sunday securing the aircraft with 4 others including John Mckeown (local Raaus rep and approved Raaus accident investigator.) I drained the remaining fuel out of the starboard wing and there was no evidence of water in the fuel.(I also filed up the ride on mower out of the same drum straight after Craig had filled 7200.) Another club member was flying over the Dam 30 minutes earlier in his Jab and experienced carby ice, (high time pilot) so that is something that needs to be considered. It will take quite a bit to recover the aircraft and while the insurance company might not be interested, Ian and the rest of our club plan to find out why the rotax stopped. Google coordinators are ....................... Google earth shows only the northern half of the Wyaralong dam, so I have included a photo taken from the air not long after the crash. (The jab pilot and I went looking for the downed aircraft while Dave went by car). I have also included some photos taken from the ground. Kiwi.
  21. I got sent this email from John today, I dont know if he ment to send it to me, But here it is. Kiwi. -- Original Message -------- Subject: President's Resignation & withdrawal. Date: Tue, 27 Nov 2012 08:15:32 +1000 From: John McKeown <[email protected]> To: Eugene Reid <[email protected]>, Paul Middleton <[email protected]>, Michael Apps <[email protected]>, Mike Smith <[email protected]>, Gavin Thobaven <[email protected]>, Ed Herring <[email protected]>, Cliff McCann <cfinetspe.com.au>, Cliff McCann <[email protected]>, Rod Birrel <[email protected]>, David Caban <[email protected]>, Myles Breitkreutz <[email protected]>, Jim Tatlock <[email protected]> Hi all, I am sending this to each of you personally. This is not a Board email, and as such I have deleted Runciman's name. I will also copy this email, ( not the offensive resignation letter at this stage) to relevant club office bearers in my local area. Since Steve had resigned yesterday afternoon, I was going to let his numerous unsavoury statements about me in his resignation letter slide. Now he has withdrawn his resignation this morning I will take advise on whether to continue to let his libel comments slide, take this matter further legally, or release the document to the Membership as it is not on the Board forum, or marked confidential. The Members can then decide for themselves the accuracy of the Runciman statements. I have spent two weeks arguing with the reform group about the cost of a general meeting outside the February Board meeting, and asking them to think of the cost to RAA. They were starting to agree. Now Runciman calls a full Board meeting at short notice. How can I argue the case with the reform group any longer? So now there will be two expensive meetings before Christmas. I will not be attending the meeting this Friday. First on a cost benefit basis. I can see no benefit to be achieved (face to face) for the high costs involved. And second on a bad blood basis. My attendance will only inflame Runciman further, and produce no benefit to the Association. I would also like to remind you that this meeting will incur an un budgeted expense, as such it needs to be formally put up for a vote before the meeting, and before any travel expenses are actioned. 22. I fly all aircraft the same. I did my last BFR with Paul from "The Recreational Flying Company" at Gympie in a Foxbat. I nearly S*%t myself at howfar out I needed to be before turning base. (still landed halfway down the strip) Kiwi.
