Hi Diddy, I fly with bifocals shaped like aviators. These have a small reading section only and suit looking down to the instruments or iPad then looking outside without moving my head a lot. I have a clear pair as well as a pair with transitions lenses. On very bright days the transitions however go very dark and make reading the instruments difficult. Maybe a fixed polarised type coating may be preferable. Safe landings.

Anyone have a number for Dick Smith or someone of that financial status who might assist an Australian aviation cause?

Who is going to make spares for the Jab engines now in service if Camit is closed? I am sure that Jabiru do not hold a large stock of heads and cylinders for the current engines into the forthcoming years.

Your question is correct Robbins. Busying about before driving to MEL and ran update without thinking. It just means an hour or so to re email myself with the images. I hope the other responders continue to have perfect updates.

I have the information on other devices but this selection was for when I am away from my desk.

I updated my iPad to 10.2 today and most importantly lost 3 years of important photos and screen shots. There are other "improvements" as well. Beware.

From post 2 the link HOME opens to a price list. There is a price for a 912 but who knows what variations.

I saw the movie tonight. Great documentary with interesting cultural back story. Wonderful video but dodgy airmanship. Q&A at the end suggested our friends at CASA counselled them big time. There is a 5 part series to screen on SBS in November. If it is as good as the movie then worthy of a look.

I had a scan of the abc reporting on the new ministerial lineup but couldn't figure out who will govern our future development. Any one know who we need to apply pressure/be nice to?

Video: MD11 landing higher than we can fly.
tillmanr replied to Garfly's topic in AUS/NZ General Discussion
Also, I was passenger entering into Quito on a night flight when we required a missed approach. The interesting house lights above you lose some fascination as you have to climb some and then loiter/circle waiting for the visibility to improve. These guys earn their dollars and my admiration -
Video: MD11 landing higher than we can fly.

I have flown into La Paz in Bolivia,13300ft high, but not up front. Amazingly fast touchdown and big braking. My Kitfox would have a nosebleed trying to get that high. -

Another large thank you to Don for his work on the board as well as the significant input into this thread. I hope you intend to just take a breather then return to contribute widely Don.

On the proxy form there is no indication as to a tick or a cross being required. Can you clarify which is needed or is mandatory. Will the vote be considered for the blank box if I use a cross?
