We are coming up to a major Foreign Investment Convention in our City from the 23rd till the 27th and our Parties would like to make our public announcements then if we get everything into place by then.

Bit of a let-down from your promise of news in 1-2 weeks made on July 25 that hasn't materialised, but jeez, that's how these things go, eh?

 

We'll be looking forward to some serious, 'take-it-to-the-bank' stuff.

If money had anything to do with it you would have seen something a while back, I am far more interested in getting other aspects in place and not needing to do it all over again.

 

I wouldn't be too concerned, Camit will always have a good market for those who want air cooled, direct drive engines, I'm out to stick thorns in Rotax's side.

How's the "D" Motor performing? I've had a look at the Rotec Radials. They are built for a nostalgia market Some of the radials built in past times are less than good. Has anyone used/seen a Salmson? or a Pobjoy? Nev

Yes, I flew (as a pax) in a 1929 - ISTR - B.A.Swallow with a Pobjoy. Beautiful engine, complete with Piezo electric ignition! (Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose).

and BMW own Rolls Royce.

I've had the pleasure of thrashing the hell out of a RR Ghost, all 600hp twin turbo BMW power.

 

Being a bit heavy it was slow off the mark (relative, most cars wouldn't live with it) but once it gets up around 160-200kmh, those 600 neddies and just massive torque get to work rather well and not much would keep with one.

I have done a lot of electric car work and people have got rocks in their head if they think they are safer or more reliable.

 

As they say in the classics, here's one I prepared earlier ...

Like most of us here, we are waiting on news of progress of your Engine.

 

A few "asks" lately, with no worthwhile reply.

 

I can appreciate your secrecy for business reasons.

Bex, those electric cars look very much like Lightburn Zetas to me.

My Dad worked for them way back then!

 

The bulk of the electric vehicles made were tourist park type buses, 9 t0 19 seaters. We did a run of VW Passats for a driver training school as well as they didn't need to go over 50kmh, which was lucky because they couldn't anyway! They saved the conversion price in fuel in the first 3 months on each.
