I believe you can land without an ASIC. To go back out to your plane you can ask for an escort from someone with an ASIC. So legally you don’t need one. But you need one to do your flight review (GA).
-
CASA do not recognise the ASIC card as proof of identity.

Only pilots, not passengers.

I agree with Skippy. Once cracked, the valve lets air in along the thread so you need to do the open/shut business. Or so I have found. -

A cabin pressure problem followed or caused by an erratic engine? Autopilot recovered the first stall but not the second? -
I love the term colour blondness, it would explain a lot.

Best story ever was from the 1920s. Aussie captain on a London to Paris flight came out of the cockpit unrolling some string. On the way to the dunny at the back he handed the end to a passenger and said if the nose goes down, pull the string. They didn’t know he had a co pilot.

ATSB can choose what they investigate. They don't have to investigate all VH reg accidents. -
The membership fee gets you in. Then there is a judgement about whether or not you are a contributor or a taker. I admit I am a taker, member since 1993 and I have never volunteered for anything. Went to one AGM in all that time. I contribute to other causes, but can't do everything.
-
Group 1 have no cause to complain IF they are paid. If they are volunteers, then they have a right to moan about the freeloaders who don't contribute. Same as any club or school or sports committee!

By coincidence I just made six out of soft leather today. Bumper bracket to body on a Triumph car.

If it was a kidnapping proof of life pic I would expect a news paper front page. You could have written that any time!

2016? I can't believe it was seven years ago. I remember this post like yesterday.

If you cannot get a Class 2 medical there is no other option. You are on a list of people who remain under scrutiny and have to satisfy Class 2. If you jump early, before questions arise, you can choose the simpler medical regime.

I reckon this is better. My first proper calculator AFTER the slip stick. Used with 7 figure logs and trig tables for survey calculations.

I had a HP9825 on my desk at work in 1977. It had a thermal printer, a pen plotter and data was saved on an audio cassette recorder. I had to write the programs in HP modified BASIC.

Double check floats. -
At 25 LPH it would be 36,000 litres. They flew over a truck which pumped up the fuel. Probably dropped the poo bag on a string!

I was in Toronto in 1995 and the Tower was draped in a giant banner that said Windows 95. We forget what a big deal it was.
