Also be aware that Paypal has a dreadful reputation for paying out claims with little questions asked - that is they can simply withdraw or freeze money in your account with no notice. I suggest don't ever leave any significant amount of money in a Paypal account, too vulnerable.

I disagree. He sounds rather like Wayne Swan only smarter.

I was wondering more about how much a high power transponder might fry your eyeballs Frank. -

Any radiation issues with having these transponders in close proximity in a composite or fabric aircraft? (Not to promote thread drift but I've always wondered). -
Welcome Matt! Hey wasn't it really quite cheap to fly GA 20 years ago....?

Planedriver I also heard Sta-bil is pretty good & was looking for some to use in the generator at work but it seems very expensive here.... got a cheaper or bulk source? Is it just the 'Australia tax' again?

I'm quite familiar with the Party lines. The Chinese people all know this problem well themselves of course. I was referring more to multi $k machinery but yes the western owned or operated factories can produce good items for example. And of course goods from Taiwan (some would say it's the real China) are generally quite good now. It's just a shame the government for all its authoritarian control hasn't protected its own brand. Hopefully within a decade or so the situation will improve.

At work we would pay only up to 40% max for items made in China compared to western Europe / Japan, USA etc, just too many ongoing quality hassles. Yes I know when forced to they can and do produce quality items and very likely you can keep a good watch on quality if you are there to check each part in person but yeah, the country has sadly trashed its own reputation so you face an uphill marketing struggle.

The one's in Dutchroll's photos are all deadbeats. -
Well if they didn't have these silly annual registration requirements the operating costs would be considerably lower in the first place. It's circular - need the money from annual rego to pay for the staff to process registration papers every year... as CASA have pointed out RaAus needs some competition.

Friend of mine just came back from a visit to Nigeria (he is oz) reckons a lot of them just sit about in the parks all day. He thought they were bludging but I reckon they were probably hard at work with their laptops trying to buy aircraft and cars of foreigners. (hmm, wonder if they buy Indonesian fishing boats)

Shiny new license.. What next??
Gnarly Gnu replied to ben87r's topic in Student Pilot & Further Learning
Yes hammer swingers are actually hard to find here (despite the moaning from the building industry). Definitely something to put on the CV, all helps get a foot in the door. Virtually none of the overseas students have this sort of ability from what I've seen. -
Had something similar at work; guy from Foxtel phoned one day & I was about to hang up thinking it was a telemarketer trying to sign up TV subscriptions. Listened for a few more seconds and it turned out to be a guy from Foxtel's engineering department, ordered over $100k off me plus a bunch more work since then.

[/url] ...was flying a remote-controlled helicopter worth about $2,000 when it struck him, cutting off the top of his head, the official said. Perhaps a new jihad drone? Victim Roman Pirozek “was known to be aggressive in his flying and often executed tricks. He was executing a trick when he was struck,”

Welcome Dinger! I'm a bit clueless on PPC's but also been interested in giving them a try, just waiting for a four stroke two seater version with steering....

Reminds me speaking to a USAF C130 pilot he described a very near miss when terrain following at 300 knots, two BASE jumpers zipped just past his wing tip, caught them out of the corner of his eye as they passed.
