    Well only a few of them really. Like for example the Nazis built autobahns & pursued nukes while the Greens want to see everyone on bicycles with the countryside covered in bird killing windmills, so overall more regressive leaning. The big picture is that both groups are totalitarian, rabidly anti-Semitic and make a big noise about the environment whilst destroying it. The environment being a useful front for another agenda. This is very true.

    Crezzi I don't know the guy at all but can you dispute or disprove what he wrote? Don't like him? Then use the other link I included, a book by Franz-Josef Brueggemeier "How green were the Nazis?" - a professor of history at the university of Freiburg, Germany. "The Nazis created nature preserves, contemplated sustainable forestry, curbed air pollution, and designed the autobahn highway network as a way of bringing Germans closer to nature." On topic I think that aircraft could be repaired fairly inexpensively. On a positive note the (Green or Nazi ) vandals could have done a lot worse things to it.

    No direct experience but yeah, like others have heard of issues with the Hirth. Apparently the Japanese HKS is a tough little beast though, being a four stroke is sweet too.

    Do some research, they are closely aligned. Hitler was an art loving vegetarian environmentalist (prior to blowing stuff up). Both Nazi and Greens are totalitarian (extreme left) groups.

    Fabulous what the US government, enterprise and the American people could achieve in that era. Now it has degenerated to the extent that forget about producing a bomber every 55 minutes the Obama government cannot even organise and produce a functioning website after 3 years of development and hundreds of millions of dollars spent.

    It can happen. For some reason I got bored and the beginnings of becoming slightly drowsy.... on my first solo! But then Gnu's are strange I guess. Instructor said "ah, most people are usually a bit excited about going solo...."

    They certainly don't like to get too hot (the top end can't hack this) & urgently need to be redesigned to be more robust in this area IMO. But I know several Jab engines that have gotten to 1000 hours with no problem and with happy owners so this is not a universal situation.

    There are foreign nationals I know that have been driving here for 5+ years on a foreign drivers licence and have never had any form of local training. Depending upon your age / life expectancy in Australia you may get away with it...

    The Vertex functions OK for me and is solidly built however I really dislike the menu structure and the tiny screen with minimal information. If buying again I would look at other brands although I'm not sure of the cost difference currently. If you operate mostly in one area this probably isn't an issue. I'm not sure if KC is referring to a possible lack of local Vertex dealers or non compliance with some Australian design rule.... if the latter I personally wouldn't give a toss - if it's good enough for the rest of the world is will be good here too.

    As Oscar suggests this could have been toned down a bit to be taken seriously. Also you start on a subjective note. As much as I think CASA are a ship of fools I happen to generally agree with their decision in relation to the PelAir pilot that ran out of fuel. Perhaps a more obvious and objective example would have been the Robinson fuel tank fiasco where several people died whilst CASA did nothing much.
