    I still have " RR Gasket " maker . Originally used on aviation in the war , so didn't need a long life . It worked on all the cars I owned & maintained . Usually coat one side of my home made paper Gasket, to hold it were placed, & occasionally without any paper Gasket. If " Loctite 574 is as good ! , then it's worth using . As an aside a ' car maker' has thrown away all " spring & flat washers " just uses Loctite . spacesailor

    The " VW " in My Hummel bird, is fan-cooled , That's cool. I ' must ' get that next prop finished. A big battery , relays , servo's . And radio receiver. Then an , ' IC Modeller Airfield ' , as my local is EV only . ( thinking outside the square ) . spacesailor

    Yes ! . They are privey , but great fun , even on that super ' cheap ' level . I tried ' helicopters ' but after wreaking three , I think the drones work better . The biggest problem is finding a " legal " area to practice & see if you can afford a ' electric aircraft club membership . Locally we have a ' club ' field that is empty 6 days a week . But Of course the council does not want the none-paying public to use it , when empty. spacesailor

    Yes ,! That Opal was poorly powered & had to be lightened by cutting the ' double skin ' from the boot , then it had to be ' braced ' with a bar welded inside the boot. spacesailor

    In NZ , the exam for ' restricted ham licence ' , was changed to make use of the different frequency spectrom, I see that the " years. " are changed again to 3 month or 50 new contacts. spacesailor

    Half way , but stopped for " short wave listening " ' CQ ' as far as Quito South America . spacesailor PS: NZ changed the rules. So you had to do ' years on a specified frequency '.
