  7. AWESOME ... there was a Zodiac flying over here a week or so ago, wondering if it was Dave? I was waving from the strip but don't think I was seen...Went up in the lightwing this morning, beautiful flight:smile:.. enjoy the weather and great to hear your back n the saddle...
  8. Zane Tully....Paid and trained for my low level endo only to recieve a letter from one "Zane TullY" informing their was insuficiant warrent for the endo there fore they would not grant my LL endo!!!!!!!!!!!!.. My CFI sent and made a number of phone calls but 2 years on still yet to have the LL inked on my certificate... ( THAT I TRAINED AND PAID FOR) all LOGGED IN MY PILOT LOG BOOK AND SIGNED OFF.....................My old CFI strongly Believes every pilot should have this endo and it should be part of the syllibis. To open our eyes to the dangers of low and slow. OK so I spent money on a endo I never revieved but the good thing was the lessons I learnt.. makes me a lil safer I believe... money well spent
  9. Just curious ,How many peeps have trained for there Low-Level endo? Yes I have. did a 5hr coarse. Firstly you wont be granted the endo (even if paid and done the coarse)Unless you have an actual legit reason for it . ie= own large property or multiple properties and require the endo to check fence lines, water troughs, mustering etc... The first things drummed into my head was NEVER fly low unless it is truely necessary, never fly low over terrain you have not inspected from the ground first, and MOST IMPORTANTLY NEVER TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE HUGE PRIVILEGE and RESPOSIBILLITY you trained for.. Theres a great book called "Flight at lower levels" A must read for any pilots and makes wire spotting from a couple thousand feet a lot easier..... I can understand go arounds, missed touch and goes etc but taken from this thread seems a dangerous maneuver may have been had? Not to bright and definately says to me the pilot has NOT undergone the training which really opens your eyes to the very real dangers or this would not have happened... Don't ruin it for the rest of it please..fly smart and fly safe P.S NOT having a go at the actual pilot referred to in this thread as I was not there and don,t know the actual details.comments made in regaurd sto this thread and it posts....... stay safe peeps ,see you up there (WAY UP THERE LOL)
  10. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!! What sort of a person would do that?????????? and why take the doors aswell? scum bags is an understatement I think. unbelievable ... I feel very sorry for you... shamefull it is ,bloody shamefull.

  13. Hey Farri,I believe it was the 27th june. Investigators were on scene at around 8 pm and police watched the wreckage over night , the investigators were back out at first light next day.Havnt heard anything since?
  14. This one scared the bajeebers outa me....As my mate and CFI owner and operater of falcon hawk airfield/training facility lives in Boxwood victoria, and is the same age as the pilot killed, lives on same rd ect..ect.... I made the call and was told what happened. such a tradgedy shouldn,t happen and heres a warning to ALL pilots .stop flying low ,,and in the dark?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My ol mates, Jim n'Kay CFI',s next door nieghbour departed Moorabin and flew his Cessna to his private strip at boxwood VIC(Benalla). He was heard flying over at around 6:18pm He proceeded his ussual rutine of over flyng his house to let his family know he was home, He did this twice coming down low(very low) and buzzing his house, his wife and 4 children then came out to greet him on touch down however he then miss calculated his approach striking his trees resulting in the plane hitting the ground verticle killing him instantly, unfortunatly with his family witnessing the event.....RIP and massive condollences. CASA were on the scene..... by the way He was (as in most cases) very exspierienced.
  15. Would have to be brave or pretty thick skinned to take one of them positions.good luck
  16. Sorry for my ignorence but just wondering if Aerobatic/GA planes have place cards/warning cards? you know! like "persons fly in this aircraft at their own risk"? I know it dosn,t really matter when it comes down to it but was just curious? sorry back to topic
  17. Geez Phil I didn,t Steel them!!!!!!!!! I just borrowed them for the pony ride. I didn't want to get manure on mine...
  18. Not the first time an A/C has landed pilotless..I think peeps forget how forward speed changes the Cof G.(PILOT or NO pilot...) Any R/C Builder can confirm this, the exception would be a nose heavy A/C as its all down hill without trim/input. They don't all go into Spin when the front gets light..IMO,I found most of time they would Feather as Tanaz describes,(even with the engine torn off) and the other times they'd spiral in to there demise . Very SAD but an intriguing storey. MY Condolences
  19. hmm now where No.3? need to start a photo gallery in order of numbers oo1,002,0003,me,etc..?
