  5. no nong the currant tec is not destroying us it was bloody well done years ago have you not comprehended what I have been saying well explain this l2 l3 lame said my plane was airworthy with these defects cracked windscreen no weight and balance rigging 20 degrees out bent rudder peddles bent engine frame crack in leading edge of wing hole on fuzerlarge patched with car bog loose engine bolt not torqued bent under carridge flap indercator no working egt not working now that some one is getting these pathetic excuses for l2 l3 lame out off our organization you jump on him oh hold on the l2 l3 lame that found these problems is wrong i think not if you want some one to blame for this shit blame me because currant tec and I have had very heated discussion on this very issue neil
  6. 75 dollars per hour:angry: should paid the bloke across the road 95 dollars per hr and I would be still flying the first l2 l3 lame could have killed:angry: me the second l2 l3 lame grounded me plane look and you will find but ask others and don't use cheep Charlie very contentious issue having seen some off the planes and some off the remarks made about different l2 lame my answer would be yes:scratching head: hi hitc what I have been saying for 7 years or so some of the idiots have brought this on our organization but the dim witted leaders off our organization could not see past their nose when I reported l2 l4 civil mater the power full of crap leaders wrote to me I know your mate is right the amount off paper work he is required to do is getting stacked against him yes the good old paper trail and accountability of some l1 l2 l3 and LAME is not there :sad:neil
  7. If the student is terrified of some manoeuvre, there's something desperately wrong with the instruction he's been given. And something bordering on criminal. yes sorry mortz but I know off a person that wont fly because an idiot instructor scared him shitles at shepp I was practicing EFATO nil wind on 18 plane had 30 lts fuel plus me at 68 kl take of on 18 at 500 ft pull of power it was straight ahead at that height in to paddock at 1000 ft could safely get back on to cross strip after an hour of practice at getting on to the cross strip now this bloke that was watching me do this said "quote not bad but what happens when you are two on board extra weight neil unquote " so I got two jerry can of water 50 kg and strapped them in to pass seat and 60 lts fuel full tanks at 500 ft still straight in to paddock at 1000 ft fence at end of cross strip was inviting me now with extra weight I needed 1100 ft at the same point after an hour of this practice I put the plane away while I was practicing I was also doing side slips and landing very short now these three pilots at shepp tore strips of me for practicing EFATO so was I wrong for doing this I feel I was not now I do no what the feeling of the o sxxx moment and what some are saying about some freezing had I froze and not flown the plane when I hit power wires now I believe you have to take into account the best glide speed for the aircraft you are in and how many ft you will lose when the fan stops neil
  8. Moses didn't have his balls caught in a rabbit trap! dosent hurt till the chain goes tight
  9. there is a need to listen to what some of the ramp check guys say don't go of at them I feel that the bloke at the front line knows more than the bloke in the office I phoned casa office a got the greatest run around from three idiots the fourth had a little knowledge the:victory: fifth had at his finger tips what I wanted to know :scratching head:question was do persons holding pilot certificates have to carry on their plane being an ultrilight maps licence maintenance release form and do we have to have a sare time do we as pilots have to have ramp checks :happy dance:the fifths answer was if you as a pilot certificate holder have to abide by your rules if your rules and regs don't state you as pilot in command are not subject to ramp checks you will be ramp checked at any time any where neil
  10. bloody ramp checks will be here to stay should be more of them I have been ramp checked 3 times and never had a problem twice at wagga and once at albury it was educational and interesting when they had finished and we were talking I was amazed at what they found out about pilots and planes and some off the reasons given for not having enough fuel not having maps not having licence not having maintenance release not giving radio call was a doosy he couldn't as the radio was in for repair in Brisbane were he came from so you want to fly in the same air space as that clown so bring on no ramp checks at your bloody peril neil
  11. what frame of mind, will a proper, and detailed pre take off briefing about EFATO, put you in before you firewall the throttle.?? pre briefing is picture thinking of the moment the what if shxx happened in other words you have to be ahead of your aircraft EFATO does happen will happen neil
  12. at the critical moment of o shxx the majority of pilots want that nice piece of ground that they have just taken of from hence turn back when I hit power wires with nose wheel of my aircraft had I froze I would be dead now situational awareness comes into play witch my instructor installed in to me practice more practice but some people don't have the luxury of owning there own plane or having an ag strip that they can practice at like simulated tail wind landings not to bad different kettle of fish when the fan is not going at all landing I paddock with engine out o shixx there is a fence I did not see just need a couple of feet to clear it couple of degrees of quick flap push nose down all is good hop over fence my instructor pulled the power one day at 2500 ft and said "quote were we going to land unquote" me looking out the front and sides s "quote that paddock up there unquote" with that he claimed the plane as his and landed at a strip I had seen his words to me were " quote planning a head is critical but remembering what you have just past is important to witch would you prefer landing in a paddock or this strip unquote "the mongrel was bloody laughing ok lesson learnt i feel human factors plays a bigger part in our sport than a lot of us give it credit for there are a couple of people that have touched on it but not said so clear and precise decision what are called for he who hesitate is lost as one saying goes some people under stress perform quite well when question on how or what we did or didn't do in that situation mostly answer I did xyz well so and so had the same situation and it was a bad out come we are all different neil
  13. jesus no good to me I could wind up in qld over the west or sa gnarly gnu place would be a good thought:no: or up territory now if misses has any thoughts it would be go to buggery:scratching head: neil
  14. a radio controlled airplane wont hurt you hitting you on the head:roflmao: but it will go through a new windscreen of my ford van the motor ended up in the back of van turbs we are surrounded by idiots oh I forgot they cant be casa employs them :cheezy grin:neil
  15. nev said The standards have dropped as you would expect when all the factors are considered. I have said many times i was one off the lucky ones who had a 3 very understanding instructors who taught me (it cost me ) I now see what you are saying is nearly right to get a good instructor you have to pay more after talking to a couple off blokes at temora when i asked them had they read the flight manual for that type of air craft they said no and these two blokes were 15 hr flight time why have they not read the flight manual as I feel that by 15 hrs you should have a good understanding of the air craft on the other hand what you don't know gets the instructor more money neil
  16. what crap corruption bull I know off two maintenance facility that have been audited by casa with only a days notice both off these facility do lame l2 l3 l4 work no they were not done by casa for any breaches of regs I was there when it happened what is going on is no reporting off the d....heads that have done illegal re pairs and mods that now deadstick and others who care are going to get belted by so called experts now that the so called experts are employed by casa they have done a total screw up of our organization they are untouchable and we are going to pay neil
  17. what this discussion is showing to me is that previous dxxxheads running this show raa have not followed our rules and regs as the writer off the first post has clearly shown that it is in our interest to stop the rot that has been installed in our organization by idiots when mark and daran start to make you and I abide by our rules not casa rules as casa approved them for you and I to have the freedom to fly in none controlled air space in one way I feel for some members who live under CAS previous management have not shown any respect for casa by what is happening now are we a self regulating body or just a bunch off cowboys at the special meeting in Canberra I assumed members would get stuck into the past mistakes off so called experts totally wipe out the ignorant not my problem mentality ie letter from raa to me not our problem civil matter while this mentality continues persons like the writer of the first post are going to be impacted on in a unfair way as brought on by dxxxheads and the lack of reporting raa sent out a cd on the rules and regs how many off you read or studied it by some off the comment here not many when I was learning my instructor did make shore that we as a group had fairly good grasp of our rules and regs as well as ga to a degree but there again he cared now in the transport industries those that chose to go to mass management have twice the amount off rules to offset the increase in weight aloud on trucks and they have to abide by them neil
  18. lock at maintenance form on raa site neil
  19. hi rickh yeh I was trying to remember who else warned on that so called wish list and the problem we would face if we as a so called organization pandered to them but as I see it the water is so muddy now by previous management dxxxheads not abiding by our rules and regs I assumed that the currant team would get through but the water is so dirty now where will it end neil
  20. so I did not need mr to fly my air craft I was forced to sign ml before repairer would give me mr I must be ahead off time as I have always carried mr copied from raaus web site neil
