Really have to plan a bit and have cards and correct access as they do change. Some of the credit cards book out the fixed amount you specify and take weeks to get difference back. They also charge the pump owner a fair bit to use the system. Many wont work if telstra is down.
Several times I've now been caught with eft setup not working or out of date card.
Thankfully local distributors have all helped out.
I have thought the report will need to include justification of the inctreased MTOW claim
Without Jabiru support it's a big call
Obviously you still need to demonstrate 45 kts stall. The tail on some older versions ran out of authority at higher angles which limited MTOW
Talk to Jabiru
Think it has been discussed before and not possible
Builder can claim whatever mtow they want (up to 600kg) subject to flight tests and backing from kit maker
They either were and it can be proven or they weren't.
If someone is injured or not shouldn't make any difference other than how much they can spend on the case.
Sounds good BUT, there is a train of thought that high powered starting is behind flywheel bolt breakages
Keep a good eye on them and replacement schedule
Pretty limited what RAA can do
CASA can still prosecute as they have done for other TV show breaches. But they have been widely criticised for doing so and lost a few cases costing plenty.
RAA setting up a base at an airfield or a greenfield developement has been kicking around for ages
Nothing happens because status quo works
Several threads on it
Maybe but it was CAE parts not Jabiru ones. They were quite different
Doubt he would sell them anyway.
I didn't see much there they would be interested in. Might be saving money to buy a machine or two.
Someone has offered enough and been sold the bulk of the parts offered.
It wasnt an auction but an EOI, if you bid enough to exceed valuers estimation , you get it
There is a small chance some of the un sold lots could end up in normal auction
There really wasnt much there to start with and near no Jabiru parts other than a crank and couple of heads.
New 2210 was quoted as "end of the year"
Just my thinking but without new cases and key parts like cranks, rods, and bottom end available, more likely rebuilds with new heads and cylinders will surface first.
Yes of course they are gearing up to make parts and the continuing existance of the Jabiru brand is depending on it seeing as they won't allow Rotax as an option and the new engine isn't released yet.
What else do you expect Rod to say?
They seem to STILL take no responsibility for damage to the engine reputation and the now downfall of suppliers.
Id expect engine production to head overseas and that won't happen quickly let alone difficulties achieving aviation quality and consistent products.
The company is being liquidated. That's it.
There are no plans or possibility to resurrect the business
At this stage no one is making parts for either Jabiru or Camit engines. (Aside from Jabiru 2210 parts)
Jabiru may do so but will take time, equipment and plenty of money?
Id suggest Ian is not likely or able to be doing much until the company liquidation is completed which could take years.
Plenty of rumours and little truth.
If it's LSA then it's up to manufacturer or importer to notify owners
Without reporting they can easily say it hasn't happened
Data is the key to making solid decisions
Filtering through that info to make decisions is a secondary problem but the info needs to be there
There's nothing to say Jabiru problems are more or less reported than anything else. If you think just 10% of problems are reported then. REc flying is incredibly dangerous.
For lifting aircraft for maintenence I bought a cheap engine crane, super cheap on special, and made a u shaped hook which fits over from to wing and lifts in the middle just outside strut
Quick and easy and wheels allow movement
The wing tip is a separate piece, doesn't look very structural.
Id estimate weight to lift a j200 by the wing just inboard of tip at around 40-50 kg effort
Didn't know there was a new certificated Jabiru engine?
Just a few new bits in the old one
Glad to see it landed safely
Will be nteresting to see what is offered as repair solution
Recommendation appreciated thank you however I'm not sure how anyone can tell what is a good, bad or premium filter and that's my problem.
The champion pictured appears identical to Ryco
The std Ryco is around double that price in AU
