    Unlike me . They all use what is specified. Have you seen the size of those ' Old ' VW spark plugs . I will try anything to save a " gram " or two . Plus the " original " plugs are no longer manufactured. spacesailor

    Has Dave , at the Oaks . Got that IOR discount . I sometimes buy 20 litres from him . So , two dollars off the twenty litres . Three hours engine runtime with the two litres reserve . Now how much per litre ? . ( to see if I can afford avgas ) . LoL spacesailor

    I'm told " synthetic " is ' Less ' sticky than 30w grade. As I give my motor lots of turns to raise the oil pressure It should be good to go with lots of oil already circulating In the cold motor . spacesailor

    I'm told to use " none " synthetic oil in my " old " style half Volkswagen motor . ( 30 w ) But I like the new oil that ' thicken's ' as it heats up . ( there's a name for that ) .. 20/50 w, runs like 20 when cold but is like a 50 w when hot . spacesailor

    Kevinblack . Cheap " aircraft " . My " Hummle Bird " is costing me " peanuts " partially as I haven't got a flight certificate. Even flying at 6 litres per hour , seems ridiculous, compared to most ' light ' planes. spacesailor

    France wants a " METRIC " 10 hour day . I sleep 8 hours & feed my face for 1.5 hours . Only leaves enough time for a good sheeet. spacesailor

    OK , I did miss the " different " airframe . My choice of. 4 litres per hour at 95 kph cruise . ( 60mpg us ) Seems great . Pity . Like the , BD 5J microjet . The wings are too short . spacesailor

    Getting a higher speed from the same engine will always Increase fuel consumption. Just get a different airframe . BD 5 microJET will lower consumption for a faster ride 350 Mph As in the James Bond film " octopussy ". spacesailor

    Nissan huts were not always constructed with frames . Make your hut with the " cross " , in four sections, tail feathers at one end , a wing section either side , then the nose section to complete the " cross " , With your baby safe inside , Not my design , but spotted at the Oaks . spacesailor

    With today's technology, IMC should be less dangerous. The pilot under the hood , is only trained to VFR , ( previous to their upgrade to ir ) . spacesailor

    " copper ring " . On a very Old cast-iron motor . ( built in water cooler on the head ) Would the copper expand more than the cast-iron . spacesailor Ps: all had to be stripped for smelting.
