    The Wankle ' outboard motor ' had poor sealing coating. That pealed off after a couple of years. Like a super thick Teflon. I know as we bought one. & yes very thirsty, compared to standard outboard motors . And it was fast ! ,for it's size . spacesailor

The amount of fuel Left from your flight , is of No use when the motor has died . But will keep the fire going longer. spacesailor

'' Doesn't that criteria ruin an '' Exceptional '' aircraft design ?. when an engine gives 38 HP for a weight of 85 lbs ( 38.5554 klgms ). In a single seater that gets 140 mph ( 225.308 kph vne . fuel consumption of 60 mpg US. ( 3.85598 L p 100 klmters ) . I think it's more of what most Recreational flyers WANT. spacesailor

    My nephew has jumped ship ( airline ) from '' Easyjet '' to '' Emirates airlines '' . hopefully with a big pay rise . not just a bigger plane . spacesailor

    The OLD shit the hospitals gave you, ( only known as Opiates ) , made your head spin at an unnerving rate . then those dreams of running on turning stones , would have driven an adult to drink !. BUT I was Three & as skinny as a pole . ( four five 6 7 8 somewhere after which I started school ). PS , my Delica has a bed in the back , with not a lot of headroom . ( I think I may have to take a step-ladder ). spacesailor

    I WISH to travel to your show !. But Everything is in the maybe box , I got my Delica out & will have a trial run , with sleepover this weekend. Climbing in & out of a bed high on wheels , won't be the best idea . I will definatly miss my soft & comfortable bed. ( first trip in Years ). spacesailor

    My sentiment entirely. Wood Never gets cold enough to freeze on your hand , also can be shaped to your hand , Large or Small . Made from " Rosewood " it doen't Burn , ( too dense, like Oak & Ironbark ) . spacesailor

    Also the fact they kept wages as low as they could , making staff , go were the pay-scale was a match for their professionalism. I found a neibour was an X Qantas Engineer, that was Cut from their work-force. Now , works for ' himself, designing, building Electro/Hydraulic " trick cars ". That can jump off the ground .     It seems a jabiru 2.2 '' Dry weight: 62.8 kg (138 lbs) with exhaust, '' And Jabiru 3,3 '' Weight: 180 lbs. (81 kg.) incl. Exhaust, Carburetor, Starter Motor, Alternator & Ignition System & Accessory pack.'' are quite light in comparison . But , mine is a ultralite 85 pound all up weight, ( 38.5554 klgms ) . spacesailor

    LOTS ! Of ' V W ' convertions in planes & direct drive . One ' Spitfire ' with 3.2 litre V 6 Isuzu motor ( Holden Jackaroo ) SUBARU are flying too . And a ' Camic ' in a box for sale at Newcastle . spacesailor

And it only lasted 3 years , then Scraped . Plus two technicians at $ 500,00 each on 24 hour call-out . And they said they can't afford to pay the wage rise for three shift workers . that only came to a total $ 36, 000 PA , per worker for three years . OR a total for the life of that Automatic rubbish . wait for it !!!!! $ 108,000 spacesailor PS, I didn't count the cost of flying the Big ceo , from the UK. to sign off on the check ,

    NO. It's not the weight or how tricky it is ! . In my case 7 years of lifting 35 kls 100s of times a day did my back in. ( collapsed vertebrae ) . Strong as an ox .but thick as a bull . I could & did many times , throw a full size oxygen cylinder onto my shoulder to replace an empty one . ( now thats heavy 85 klgms ) . spacesailor

    YES BUT ,. My poor thing is electrical FREE , not a cent for an AA battery . Ignition is magneto, so it has problems with HT wire replacement, No ' carbon ' leads allowed . Were do you buy copper HT leads . spacesailor

    I did say it was " jumped started " . So there was your ' power ' to the alternator! . No crap . I've even had motors out of vehicles, on the ground , 'jump started ' to show prospective ( wreaking yard ) customers, " it works " . With that same alternator run to earth through an old headlight , to show It works too . spacesailor

    Mine was " a mob of kangaroos jumped acrooss the road into my bullbar " . Only five dead , I'm lucky it wasn't people jumping in front of my car , on the notorious Mitchell hwy . ( between Burke & Dubbo ) . No queries from the insurance over that claim. spacesailor

    It can't be Just a battery !, as the running power comes from the alternator. We often ran cars without the battery, only used a jump start to get the motor going & the positive alternator wire through a globe to earth to keep the alternator happy . spacesailor
