  1. I believe the correct term is reversed tricycle but who cares. A lovely little aircraft.......if only it had folding wings. Gee that took a long time to set up. Anyone care to guess at what engine is fitted, sounds real sweet, and the mast head camera was so stable. Any other vids hidden away in the family vault?
  2. Should be made legal to fire back with an auto sighting mini Gatling gun. Soon stop the bastards.
  3. All journeys start with one step. This and the other current 'flying cars/roadable planes' are but the first steps to the future, so no, not a dead end design. One idea leads onto another and to another so eventually we will have a vehicle that can/could do both jobs perfectly. Maybe, the road side of it will become redundant. Who knows! Look to the future and hope you're still around to see it.
  4. Re-read my last post................maybe not in our life time. Think Jetsons, with no vulnerable wings. Personal flying vehicles will come about to replace cars per sey.
  5. As things/designs are today, you may be right but, to say quote" the concept will never get off the ground (pun intended)" is so closed minded to be an insult to man's ingenuity. It wasn't all that long ago when they said only birds could fly, how wrong they were. It WILL happen but maybe not in our life time, depending on how old you are. As my signature says, Dare to think outside the square.
  6. Of course it can climb mate, it's at about 1000ft already. Why go higher on a trial flight. As for landing, looked easy enough to me. Just get your wheels in line and flare at the right time.. IMO it's a beautiful piece of engineering that all the nay-sayers would dearly love to own.

  8. Common sense says don't hand over your hard earned cash until you have the product in front of you.
  9. Hmm, which came first, that or the German Komet. Virtually identical.
  10. Nice video Mike but why add the 'music'. Most of us fly for the peace and quiet, engine and wind noise accepted. In open kites like yours, even wind noise can be reduced with a bit in ingenuity. Just saying.
  11. Hmm, another page that won't open for me.
  12. Hmm, lead video doesn't exist for me but more important, our stupid politicians, past and present, have gotten us in a position where we cannot opt out of the purchase of this poor excuse for a fighter aircraft. Perhaps we'd have been better of asking the Brits to up-grade the Harrier. At least that's war proven.
  13. Was posted ok and was there yesterday albeit a bit faded, plus the last line was missing.
  14. OK, OK OK. Maybe I upset someone with my last post but it is now MIA. Would who-so-ever took it down, please have the balls to own up and say what, how or where I offended you.
  15. In flight photos would be a nice addition.
  16. I see a lot of nice photos but no report/blog. Currently, I can't see the reasoning behind joining them together apart from a heavier arms load, but then, the war was over.
  17. May be, but she a very pretty psycho. As rgmwa says, you're a very lucky man.
  18. I feel sorry for those poor demented souls that believe their reward in 'heaven'' is 72 virgins. What in God'/Allah's name are you going to do with 72 untried thought stores(read consciences) cause that's all that's likely to be there. Bodies and the alluring sexual parts of them get left here on Earth, some more scattered than others.
  19. HMAS Hobart on to to it's way to it's final destination as a dive reef in the Spencer Gulf .
  20. Murray Bridge, Callington, Strathalban, Goolwa, Gawler, and maybe Huntfield. Must be some phone numbers in the book Don't know of any private strips.
  21. For some reason, I can't open the initial link to this story. But no worry. The question is, is it the locals making all the noise, or the developer/s that want to get their greedy hands on the land.
  22. Georgian manpad.....??
  23. If it's a long and slow decent, don't forget carbie heat for safety's sake.
  24. Yep, been there, done that. To make things more interesting, I found I had a flat battery as well so had Buckly's chance of restarting the engine. A Mayday call followed by sweat and heavy breathing as I JUST cleared the airfield fence for a successful landing. This was on a 'perfect flying' day with just a few clouds to break the monotony of clear blue shies. Had no idea that carbi heat would be required.
