  1. Yes a great meet. Glad to have caught up with Flyerme, Stoney and few old friends from Murry bridge. Good job I didn't fly there, might not have made it as I got well and truly lost north of Adelaide. Followed some very old road signs instead of all our new super highways. Comming home wasn't much better. Might have to invest in one of these new fangled things called SatNavs.
  2. As if anyone is going to own up haha.
  3. I've recently caught up with this thread and as usual, it's drifted off the original subject, ie, CIRCULAR wings. Having said that, anyone know anything about this design?
  4. Not according to how I was taught. Radio is last on and first off to avoid spurious voltage spikes from the engine/ignition systems. Once the motor is running smoothly, switch radio on and check the frequency selected. Adjust if necessary.
  5. What are the coordinates PA?
  6. Enjoy this intricate model and keep your eyes on the HUD display. Bloody marvelous. http://www.chonday.com/Videos/eurofighterrc4

Nice job Richard. I hope to be in the same position later next year. Been gifted a single seat version that's in need of some TLC and then it and I will be in the air once again. Enjoy your 'new' plane and fly safely.
  11. As old as I am, I never knew this story. Sure, I'd heard of female ferry pilots but never knew such a super story was untold. Bless them all for their efforts in keeping the RAF fed with replacement planes.
  12. Beautiful photos mate. What camera/lense combination?
  13. Can we get back to the point guys, referring to the PAL-V. In my opinion, this particular 3 wheeled vehicle is safer than a motor bike on the road. Unlike the old and dangerous types with one wheel at the front, this one leans into corners so is not so prone to rolling over. I doubt that anyone who can afford one, is going to be so stupid as to try racing it through the hills. As for crumple zones, not needed as it's 'experimental' and besides, if you can legally drive one of the Lotus 7 Clubman Sports, then your in the same class of vehicle(re safety) As for Jesus Nuts etc, this is as safe as any rotary wing aircraft and probably more so than a helicopter. It's proven to fly safely and is still being evaluated and up-graded. As for cost, yes, a rich mans 'toy' but I'd have no problem buying and flying one if I could afford to do so.
  14. Start saving now for your own plane.
  15. With so much breast meat on display these days, it's hard not to look. If a young sheila gives you that 'you old perv' look, just say the her, " Will you please tell your breasts to stop staring at my eyes" If that doesn't change her perception of you, nothing will.
  16. Hi Mike, I also add my welcome to our 'club'. Jabiru 3300 on a Bantam! That's a bl***y big big motor for such a light plane. How many times have you pulled the wings off it
  17. I'm going to be very happy with the Thruster a fellow forumite has given me. Pick it up in January so no more designing for a while. I'll be too busy restoring this old beauty.
  18. Apparently a lot of those 'stored' aircraft are run up on a 12 monthly cycle........just in case they're needed.
  19. Have you seen this Dave http://media.wix.com/ugd/34cdd3_fc0cb2de8d6343bf96b3ce834831c98b.pdf
  20. With all the money spent on it, perhaps the 'hunters' should be armed with missiles loaded with paint-balls and not H.E.
  21. Beats me why anyone would consider how ever many virgins in 'heaven' What the hell are you going to do with them when you don't have a body!
  22. Only one possible answer to that, BRING BACK THE BIRCH.
  23. So does that mean I'm in with a chance then?
  24. Thanks for to come back guys. Still think it's a lovely bit of engineering by someone else who thinks outside square.(see my signature)
  25. Debbs said, quote: Also, don't ever mistake kindness for weakness. There is nothing more beautiful than a big, strong, (tattooed) man who is kind. Wish I could find one down here ! Kinda rules me out as I'm a clean skin. Can't see the sense in tats and hate them on women.
