  1. I think the late Kerry Packer had some choice words about paying tax..🙂 Just because yer not paying tax do not mean that a crime is being committed. There is an entire industry of accountants dedicated to working out how to legally avoid paying tax. Likely most American taxpayers work the system - should Trump not avail himself of the advice of taxation accountants ? I’d like to see an actual reference to an actual documented crime Trump is supposedly accused of. Not some hand wave to conspiracy theory’s..🤨 Please note, I were actually posting anti Trump stuff over at pprune before he were first elected - I have since mellowed a bit on the chap because I realised, if not Trump... then who ? I think Ted Cruise has potential. And I think Candace Owens will be a shoo-in, though when she’s a bit older. .
  2. “...Examining the history of avgas supply to aviation operators in the northern parts of Australia, it was evident that over recent years, manufacturers had reduced the absolute levels of tetraethyl lead (TEL) in the avgas product, from historical levels of around 0.75 gPb/l in 2012, to around 0.38 gPb/l in 2018. To maintain the fuel’s Motor Octane Number for defence against damaging detonative combustion, other fuel chemistry variations would be expected – typically an increase in the level of aromatic hydrocarbon components. Data to support explicit conclusions in this area was not available to this investigation, with the manufacturer citing commercial sensitivity concerns...” https://austhia.com/PDfs/AHIA-piston-engine-durability-report.pdf .
  3. The engine rebuild shops have proof positive it is the crappy so-called avgas available now. Take a quick sniff of the avgas next time you fuel up - it smells a lot like car fuel now. To reduce the lead levels they have added a lot more aromatics etc. .
  4. With such a precise track available I would love to fly it to get a feel of the terrain (on a calmer day) When the idiotic china virus restrictions are over it will be a trip to do. .
  5. Interesting. How to avoid a low level pass prang ? I’m guessing the pilot of the Sonex drove his car to the airport on the day - drove down the road at 100 k’s/hour. On-coming traffic a mere few feet away doing 100k’s/hr giving a combined speed of 200km/hr. How did the pilot survive the drive to the airport ?... sighting lines on the road ? Not all roads have sighting lines... something else ? .
  6. Oh, Dear. Poor old Trump. Quiet the villain apparently. Not sure just what he has actually done, though he’s a villain...🙂 Meanwhile, the son of Biden has been doing some cocaine and a little well paid wheeling and dealing under the auspicious of the seal of the then Vice President and it has all come out now... except, apparently facebook and twitter dont want yer to know about it... “...The Senate Judiciary Committee announced plans to subpoena Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey after the platform engaged in an unprecedented censorship spree, suspending the account of the New York Post, and locking the accounts of the Trump campaign as well as White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, in the space of 24 hours...” https://www.breitbart.com/tech/2020/10/15/senate-judiciary-committee-will-subpoena-twitter-ceo-jack-dorsey-over-ny-post-censorship/ .
  7. India is asking many questions about just how the virus came to be..? A reporter asks some questions... If the so-called Wet Markets were the source, then why has China reopened the markets? The reporter also asks should we expect a COVID-20, a COVID-21...? .
  8. Yep. Re sound alert. For one, something to check would be what the oil pressure gauge would indicate when the engine is idled during descent. The buzzer may be going off. .
  9. Yep! If we were smart, instead of blocking new mines, we would be shipping as much of the stuff as we can right now to bring in that export income before the ‘spring’ drys up...? .
  10. Seems you don’t understand what Weston Price were about with his study of the ‘natives’ in Europe, England, the Eskimo’s, etc, etc,... Kaz3g, if yer don’t understand the Weston Price study I very much doubt your ‘abilities’ to be the definitive ‘word’ on anything I have quoted in this forum..? .
  11. Oh dear...? ...abuse, and a hand wave to some claim of a higher understanding...? .
  12. Looks like mnewbery is doing a runner..? ...and I were just bringing out my Weston Price book to get some references..? ...oh well. Let’s round it up. Mnewbery, Way back when I first started commenting on the ChiCom virus I pointed out the air quality and general health issues of the Italian and other populations. A very definite factor. The darker skin references I’ve been utilising to back up the claims of the value of the sun and the seasonal virus effects. https://www.amazon.com.au/Nutrition-Physical-Degeneration-Comparison-Primitive/dp/1849027706/ref=tmm_pap_title_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1586816338&sr=8-1 .
  13. Years ago I read a book about a glider pilots adventures around the world - No AH. Mention were made of several occasions of the need to hold pro spin controls after he lost it in cloud. I suppose thats a way out if there is suitable recovery space below the clouds and the aircraft can take it..? .
  14. Umm...? And all that causes increased susceptibility to virus’s how...? .
  15. Candice Owens says as much. She’s only young though will be a future president..? .
  16. And a single gauge usually fails just when you really need it. Suggestion: If yer not an IF trained pilot and yer intending to use the AH as the 180 degree saviour, then every flight best practise the manoeuvre..? .
  17. Wow..? Quiet the grab bag of claims...? Where’s the evidence to back up the claims ? .
  18. Kaz3g, I nearly missed your comment, you wrote it in the quote box..? For starters, there’s more to the benefits of sunshine then just D3. And on what do you base the claim of: “increased vulnerability is grounded in systemic disadvantage and poverty”..?....? .
  19. If the theory is correct that the Chinese communist party ‘released’ the current natural virus then no doubt they will do it again..? .
  20. Heh..? He mighta been wearing it... .
  21. That’s a relief - I’ve got a big shopping list to fill at Bunnings..? On a related subject. Something is brewing re not putting all the manufacturing eggs in China... “...Japan is paying its companies to leave China and relocate production elsewhere as part of a stimulus deal in response to the Chinese coronavirus...” https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/04/10/japan-to-pay-companies-to-leave-china-relocate-production-over-coronavirus/ .
  22. Heh, well yer lucky then because I’m just one poster on an ultralight forum - I don’t think the Prime Minister is listening. Although, the feedback I’m getting from some here yer’d think I were the one deciding government policy...? I’m a bit mystified by the hatred coming out of some posters. I woulda thought a forum is for discussion of differing views, even extreme views. And even test a few scenarios and see if they fly... sometimes the buffeting breaks the theory up in flight, ...sometimes yer get a moon shot...? Speaking of moon shots... “...Four coronaviruses commonly infect humans: OC43 and 229E (discovered in the 1990s) and HKU1 and NL63 (discovered a decade ago). These are part of a group of 200 odd (and distinct) viruses that cause the “common cold” for which, as we all know, there is no vaccine. In addition, two other coronaviruses can infect us: SARS and MERS. For these, as well, there is no vaccine despite scientists working on it for years. Instead, we know that “Early efforts to develop a SARS vaccine in animal trials were plagued by a phenomenon known as vaccine-induced enhancement, in which recipients exhibit worse symptoms after being injected”. Basically, a bad vaccine can kill far more of us than the virus itself. Jane Halton, who chairs the Bill Gates-backed Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovation “has warned that there is no guarantee of success”. Australian National University academic Peter Collignon has confirmed to me that: “I don’t think we can assume with any certainty we will get a safe and effective vaccine for all. We haven’t for a number of other infections eg HIV, Hep C, Dengue, RSV despite trying very hard”. Thus, virtually everyone who knows about coronaviruses knows that a vaccine is a moonshot...” https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/blogs/seeing-the-invisible/india-has-only-one-choice-anders-tegnells-swedish-approach/ .
  23. A set of 35” tundra tyres would just make it look.... finished..? .
  24. Be interesting to hear the feedback from the Oz supplier. .
  25. There’s always a video. What civvy would be joyriding in a warbird and not taking a video...? .
