  1. They said forced landing, reporter heard false landing. Repeated by ignorant editorial staff.
  2. I understand the rednecks were Scots who wore a red cloth around their necks as a political statement when they arrived in America.
  3. It would take a while but you could browse the old crash comics at --> <title>Browse Items · Connecting the Nation
  4. I have actually seen about a thousand budgies flying in a flock. A sight you would never forget.
  5. Stop bragging my floppy is barely 4 inches
  6. I knew about Vegemite and Marmite but this is new.
  7. What does "feeling sick" mean? We have spent our lives with slightly sore throats, sniffles and so on and anyone might say "I will just see how I feel by the end of the day". I don't know whether I would isolate and get tested for a sniffle, I would wait to see if it turned into something more.

  14. Journey into nowhere: [The story of pilot James Knight and the disappearance of his ex-RAAF Wackett CA.6, which crashed in South Australia in 1962, and despite one of the biggest aerial searches ever mounted in Australia, was only discovered three years later, well off course of his planned route between Ceduna and Cook] Appears In AOPA, v.60, no.6, July-Aug 2007, p.30-34 (ISSN: 1442-6056) This is the magazine of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. Someone may have it, otherwise contact AOPA or the National Library.
  15. Commer is a truck. Comma is punctuayption. Thanks to autocorrect for that exposition!
  16. Lots of experience passengering in the 747 and A380. Both good, if you can be in business or at least premium. 747 always felt more solid and gutsy. I am sorry they are going, but the world has moved on and my memories are of a time past.
  17. I guess I should add caravanning to my list, seven trips in twelve months. Bogged to the axles today.
