Two planes from Kyneton to Shep today for an excellent and reasonably priced lunch.

Sorry I missed you, Macca, but glad you enjoyed the meal.

I went up to Cowra for the weekend to attend the AAAA Spring flyin. Poor turn up there because the Sydney basin was flagged in.

Life's tough! We had to fly to Mt Beauty for lunch today. Not a cloud to be seen, smooth air, tail wind and beautiful mountain scenery. I'll post some photos when I recover from the trauma. 014_spot_on.gif.1f3bdf64e5eb969e67a583c9d350cd1f.gif

Albany to Mukinbudin - Meekatharra - Newman stopped overnight at Newman, Capricorn roadhouse accommodation great, food and service great good coffee in the morning from the roadhouse. However Getting there from the airport would have been impossible without the help of a fantastic LAME. Telephone a taxi to get a ride and taxi said no not coming it is not a good enough fare for me. LAME (Barry)who owns and runs maintenance of helicopters in Newman not only gave me a lift to the roadhouse but come and picked me up in the morning to take me back to the airport at 0600. The next leg was Newman to Broome -Wyndham a little on the bumpy side but it is the dry season with plenty of warm land to fly over and the odd thermal or 2.

2 great days of flying and covered a lot of the west of Australia from south to north.

Beautiful part of the country. We had a problem with our CSU at Broome. I sort the help of a LAME who, on finding out we had a Rotax, referred me to the local lawn mower shop. Most unprofessional aviation person I have ever come across.

This morning fellow forumite Old Koreela and myself went for a short flight in the hornet to check 2 local farm strips for suitability for our club members to fly to this Saturday for morning tea. It was a nice flight, the first strip was grass on a slight rise which turned out to be nice and smooth and the second was on a nice flat plain, it was mown lucerne which was a little bumpier but Old K was still happy enough with it:thumb up:.

We had a good tailwind back to home which finished off a bit over an hour of flying.

Our monthly breaky was this morning, followed by a trip to a few different local strips. (I had to get back to the tractor so had to fly home straight after breaky:sad:) but we had 13 planes of which 7 were tailwheels! One immaculate tiger moth, A couple of gyros and even a trike. Another beautiful clear calm day just perfect for flying:thumb up: (Actually it's a perfect day for spraying and tractor driving too but who really cares about that:whistling:!)

It is a link to World Ultralight Flyin which is a facebook group attempt a trying to get as many ultralights in the air as possible on a given day.

Today was the day.

The link is to the photo page which hopefully will end up with hundreds of photos.

It is a lot easier to add photos to FB, all you have to do on a iphone or Ipad is simply tick the photo and the press one button.I have plenty on there but none on here, too many hoops to jump through with resizing ect. I find it to difficult.

I suppose you wear thongs because tying laces is too difficult, too. poking.gif.62337b1540bd66201712a53e2664c9b4.gif

It is a link to World Ultralight Flyin.Today was the day.

I had thought of getting involved with that, but figured it would probably jinx a day of flying, plus I'm not on facebook...

Having said that, had two flights today; first cross country with an early solo student, and a refresher flight with a guy that hasn't been able to fly for about six months.

1.7 hours total in a Foxbat. 080_plane.gif.36548049f8f1bc4c332462aa4f981ffb.gif

Nah I just don't know enough about the ins and outs of resizing photos ect. I tried a couple of times and it didn't work so I gave up.

Do you use Windows, Mac or iPad?
