onetrack
It's a building in a little town called Predda Niedda, in Sardinia. The building houses a business that specialises in advertising graphics (signage) and custom T-shirts. The business is called "SerigrafiKa Pubblicità" (Serigraphia Advertising). The jet is a USAF, Convair F-102 Delta Dagger carrying the markings of the 40th Fighter Interceptor Squadron from Yokota Air Base, Japan. Google Street View shows the jet looking pretty weatherbeaten when the Google camera car went past in Oct 2021. https://www.google.com/maps/@40.7385448,8.5241298,17z?entry=ttu Edited July 21, 2023 by onetrack
old man emu
Forget about the jet, that brickwork is excellent. 1

Convair F-102 Delta Dagger - Wikipedia EN.WIKIPEDIA.ORG Not 100% sure here, but I think the Delta Dart was the one that got the area rule mods done to it (there doesn't seem to be any 'wasting' in the photo of the Dagger there...), the performance comparisons here would indicate the effectiveness of using area rule.
red750
Yes, Phantoms could fly with wingtips folded, unplanned, naturally. Here's proof.
pylon500
I assume there's the obligatory 'Crusader flying with wings folded' photo in here somewhere?

Marty_d
It doesn't surprise me that Phantoms etc can fly with wings folded - but imagine the landing speed...
facthunter
They can fly on the keel surface of the fuselage it they are going fast enough. Nev

johnm
if its real ? - be good to see how they depict the hose layout (metal and rubber; other) on the design drawing (sssssss ........)
old man emu
Imagine the cost of replacing all those hoses when a BMW Radiator Hose - Upper for a 325i E9X costs $50 Priced Individually (GST included) Connecting the upper radiator to the top fitting on the engine (next to the oil filter housing). Manufactured by original equipment supplier using the BMW Genuine plastic hose connectors. New cars have more pipes than the Sydney Town Hall organ 1

It's not a single engine at all, but a pile a stuff from at least one complete fwd engine/gearbox/ suspension plus heaps of other random other car bits crammed on top. Note the extra fwd gearbox crammed at the back, could be from all wheel drive setup but doubt it. Looks like another separate motor and it's crap all shoved together to cramm into a storage spot etc.. I could be wrong but ....
